One of my favorite parts of the week included a tour and social events on the Harvard Campus. The school was founded in 1636 and is the very first college created in our country. Each year close to 35,000 students apply to Harvard. Just over 5% of those applicants received acceptances, making Harvard one of if not the most selective college in the entire country .Harvard has close to 6,500 undergraduate students. Numerous presidents, supreme court justices, and famous individuals have graduated from Harvard.
Harvard is located in Cambridge, MA. The in and around areas of Harvard is known as Harvard Square. You will find some of the most amazing places to eat, cool coffee shops, and several historic sites. When warm you will see students walking, running, kayaking, and rowing up and down the Charles River. The campus has several historic buildings along with a beautiful landscape. The library is massive and is the largest academic library in the world with over 18 million volumes. Students and visitors can see several Harvard museums filled with numerous historical items and innovative creations.
